Booking & Cancellation Policy
At The Art of Taste, every culinary experience is thoughtfully planned specifically for you and your guests. Menus are customized, ingredients are purchased, preparation is completed in advance, and your date is reserved exclusively for your experience.
To help us provide the best possible experience while protecting the time and preparation that goes into each booking, the following policies apply.
Reservations & Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your experience date.
Your requested date is not considered officially booked until the deposit has been received and your reservation has been confirmed by The Art of Taste.
Once your deposit is received, your selected date and time are reserved for your group, and we begin planning and preparing for your experience.
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your scheduled experience.
Your full balance must be received before the experience takes place. Payment instructions and your final balance will be communicated in advance.
Any approved additions or changes made after the original booking, such as additional guests, menu upgrades, customization, or applicable travel fees, may result in an adjustment to the final balance.
Cancellations
We understand that plans sometimes change. However, because your date is reserved exclusively for your group and preparation begins before your experience, all booking deposits are non-refundable.
If you choose to cancel your experience, please contact The Art of Taste as soon as possible.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled experience may be eligible for one reschedule, subject to availability.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund of payments already made.
Rescheduling
We are happy to accommodate one reschedule when requested more than 72 hours before your scheduled experience.
Your new date will be subject to availability and must be mutually agreed upon.
Additional rescheduling requests may require a new deposit and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Requests to reschedule within 72 hours of the experience may be treated as a cancellation.
Guest Count & Changes
Your experience is planned according to the confirmed number of guests.
Please notify us as early as possible if your guest count changes. Adding guests may result in an additional charge and is subject to the selected experience, menu, available kitchen space, and our ability to safely accommodate the group.
A reduction in guest count after final payment may not result in a reduction or refund of the original booking total, as ingredients and preparation may already have been arranged for the confirmed group.
Menu Changes, Dietary Restrictions & Allergies
Please disclose all known food allergies, dietary restrictions, and important food preferences during the planning process and before the final menu is confirmed.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs when possible. However, certain experiences, ingredients, or menus may not be suitable for every dietary restriction.
Significant menu changes requested after the menu has been finalized may result in additional charges or may not be possible if ingredients have already been purchased or preparation has begun.
Travel
The Art of Taste is an in-home culinary experience, meaning we travel to you.
A travel fee may apply depending on the location of your experience. Any applicable travel charges will be discussed and approved before your booking is finalized so there are no unexpected travel fees on the day of your experience.
Kitchen & Home Requirements
Guests are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and functional kitchen environment with the utilities and appliances required for the selected experience.
Any specific kitchen requirements will be communicated before your scheduled date.
If conditions at the location prevent the experience from being performed safely, including unavailable essential utilities, unsafe equipment, or other hazardous conditions, The Art of Taste reserves the right to modify or discontinue the experience.
Arrival & Experience Time
Please ensure that the kitchen and experience area are accessible at the agreed-upon arrival time.
Because preparation, cooking, instruction, and service are carefully scheduled, significant delays caused by the host or guests may require portions of the experience to be adjusted in order to remain within the scheduled timeframe.
We will always do our best to provide the complete experience whenever circumstances allow.
Emergencies & Unforeseen Circumstances
We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances can happen.
If an emergency prevents you from attending your scheduled experience, please contact us as soon as possible. Exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually, but accommodations, credits, refunds, or rescheduling are not guaranteed.
If The Art of Taste must cancel an experience due to an emergency, illness, severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, or another circumstance that prevents us from providing the booked service, we will work with you to reschedule your experience or provide an appropriate refund for payments made, depending on the circumstances.
By Booking an Experience
Payment of your deposit confirms that you have reviewed and agreed to The Art of Taste's booking, payment, cancellation, and rescheduling policies.
Our goal is never to make booking complicated. These policies allow us to dedicate the time, preparation, ingredients, and attention necessary to make each experience special.
Thank you for trusting The Art of Taste to be part of your table.
Learn. Cook. Experience.
